Gutenberg

Gutenberg The Musical!

January 17 - 26, 2025

It’s the story of two best pals named Bud and Doug who put on a show together because they just love each other so damn much. It’s art imitating life imitating art! And it’s the funniest thing to come to Cinnabar Theater since 1448! (Which is the year the printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg, who is the subject of the musical that Bud and Doug write, but that’s not important right now.)

In this two-man musical spoof, a pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers’ audition for their new, hilariously ill-advised project – a big, splashy musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg. Only they know very little about musicals and even less about history. Having just wrapped up a successful Broadway run this side splittingly funny show will start your 2025 off in a hilarious way
