A heartwarming Cinderella story based on the treasured novel. When a mysterious benefactor decides to send Jerusha Abbott to college, she must write him a letter once a month. Unaware of his identity, she invents a nickname for him: Daddy Long Legs. Through her letters, Jerusha shares her experiences of college while discovering her own identity and reveling in the wonders of literature, adventure and love. But one key fact eludes her—who is Daddy Long Legs?

Paul Gordon (composer) was nominated for a 2000 Tony Award for his score to Jane Eyre which ran at the La Jolla Playhouse in Summer of 1999 and opened on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theater in December of 2000. Co-authored and directed by multiple Tony Award winning director John Caird, (Les Misarables, Nicholas Nickleby, Stanley) the musical was first presented at the Royal Alexandra Theater in Toronto in December of 1996.

Paul has written two number one songs. "Next Time I Fall" recorded by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant, and "Friends and Lovers", which went number one on both the pop and country charts. Some of the other artists he has written for or collaborated with, include Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Alanis Morissette, Vonda Shepard, David Foster, Patti LaBelle, Eddie Rabbit, Juice Newton, James Ingram, The Pointer Sisters, Dionne Warwick, Olivia Newton-John, Eddie Money, Kenny Rogers, Smokey Robinson and Kenny G among many others.

John Caird (playwright) John is an author and director working in theatre, opera and musical theatre in London, New York, Tokyo and all around the world.
Published works with MTI include Les Miserables (Schools Edition), (Children of Eden (with music by Stephen Schwartz) Jane Eyre (with music by Paul Gordon) and his own new version of Leonard Bernstein's Candide (originally performed at the National Theatre in London).
