Auditions for Alice: Although the Alice camp doesn’t begin until June 30, we realize that people need to plan their summers. So auditions will be held quite early: Saturday, May 3 from 12:00-5:00 with callbacks on Monday, May 5 from 5:00-8:00. The show will then be cast within the week. Musical Theater Ensemble – The Brigands – By audition only – see details below
Ages 12-18 * Tues/Thurs 4:00 – 7:00 * Theater/Studio * Feb. 5 - Apr. 24 * $500
Additional rehearsals may be scheduled on Sundays and during the final week before opening
The Brigands performs Apr. 25 & 26 and May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11

Auditions for The Brigands will be held on Saturday, Jan.12 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Cinnabar. Auditioners must prepare a song, no more than one minute in length. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10:00-1:00. Parents must attend callbacks for an important meeting. The Instructors:

Eileen Morris received her B.A. from UC San Diego. She has sung with nearly every regional opera company in the Bay Area and with Eugene Opera. Eileen is a long-time Cinnabar teacher & music director. She has directed a number of Young Rep productions, including Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, Orpheus in the Underworld, Bluebeard and It’s a Wonderful Life

Jared Emerson-Johnson has taught at Cinnabar for eleven years. He most recently music directed and conducted Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld and Bluebeard and the 2006 Cinnabar Summer Camp. He is the conductor and music director of Cinnabar's Community Chamber Ensemble. Jared is also a composer/sound designer with credits on several leading video-game and independent film titles. He holds a B.A. summa cum laude in music from Cornell.

Teen Acting Ensemble – The Blue Bird – By audition only – see details below

The Blue Bird performs Apr. 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 13

Auditions for The Blue Bird will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5 beginning at 11:00 am at Cinnabar. Auditioners must prepare a monologue, story or poem not to exceed 2 minutes in length. It should be memorized. Callbacks will be held Monday, Jan. 7 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Auditions are by appointment only. Call 707.763.8920 to schedule an audition. All auditioners who are cast MUST enroll in the Teen Acting Ensemble.

The Instructor:

Conrad Bishop is director of The Independent Eye, a professional ensemble that has toured the USA since 1974 (www.independenteye.org). A Stanford Ph.D., he has conducted workshops in hundreds of schools, has been a director and playwright for major regional theatres, and is a two-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts Playwriting Fellowships. Last year he adapted and directed Cinnabar's The Hobbit and The Green Bird. He is also the instructor for Young Rep’s Summer Acting Intensive.
