All, Shining,
Shooting and Rising Stars
Geoff Bolt has been called a “...budding comic genius, whose Disneyland routine can cause actual rib damage” by the San Francisco Examiner. A Bay Area original, Bolt is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, which performed in San Francisco during the 1980s. Since then Geoff has continued performing regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films (including Mrs. Doubtfire, Ed TV, and 9 Months) was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional Tips on Travel. Geoff probably is most recognized from the long-running Toyota commercials where he plays football Hall of Famer, Steve Young’s sidekick and buddy.
Mark Pitta is a national headliner coming from the fervent San Francisco comedy scene of the 1980’s.
Mark’s career flourished in LA, first, fulfilling his dream of appearing on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson then subsequent appearances with Jay Leno. Mark landed a job as host of Totally Hidden Video for
the FOX network, playing different characters in hidden camera situations and then hosting Friday Night Videos for NBC. He has made guest appearances on Mad About You and Third Rock From the Sun. For Comedy Central Mark has appeared on Premium Blend; The A-List; Dr. Katz; and Make Me Laugh.
In 1997 Mark achieved the comedy version of the hat trick when, during a show, he made a women (name withheld) laugh so hard she wet her pants, cried, and liquid came out of her nose. There is no higher honor.
A favorite on the comedy club; college; and corporate circuit, Mark has also opened for Chris Issak, Celene Dion, Vanessa Williams, Paul Anka, Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton John, Smokey Robinson, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Rick Springfield.
When not working for money, Mark lends his time to his favorite charity, The Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.
Dave Pokorny
For a full decade Dave Pokorny toured the U.S. as a working stand-up comic, however after his first daughter was born he no longer wanted to tell jokes to strangers in bars for money. After seven years as a stay-at-home dad he still doesn’t want to just tell jokes, but he’s realized he has a lot more to say than, “Hey, put that down...leave your sister alone...because I said so that’s why...and pick that up!”
Mitchell Thomas is a singer/songwriter from Petaluma, California. He plays several different genres of music, including rock, blues, jazz and hip hop and instrumental music. He plays several instruments, including guitar, tenor saxophone, and a 21 string harp lute called a kora. Mitch picked up the kora from traveling to Gambia in West Africa and learning from a master player. Mitchell is able to tie in his musical influences into his own creative style, and his main goal is to share to others what he has to offer.
